What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your phone, tablet or computer. Some are needed for a website to work; others are used to track what you do, often for advertising.
Our approach
We keep this simple. We only use advertising cookies if you click Accept on our cookie banner. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites for any other purpose. We use Google Ads to advertise our services. If you accept cookies, Google Ads sets cookies (such as _gcl_au) that tell us when someone who clicked one of our adverts goes on to contact us, for example by sending a quote request or tapping our phone or WhatsApp buttons. This helps us see which adverts are worth paying for. If you reject cookies, Google Ads does not set these cookies; Google may still receive basic, cookie-less information about the visit (such as that a page was viewed) without identifying you. We also use Google Analytics, but only if you accept cookies, to understand how visitors use our website, such as which pages are viewed. It sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_5C0825NHSX. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. We also store your choice in a small cookie called dm_consent for up to 6 months, so we do not ask you again on every page.
Cookies our website uses
| Name | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|
| __cf_bm | Set by our hosting provider’s security service (Cloudflare) to tell genuine visitors apart from automated bots. It does not identify you personally. | 30 minutes |
| wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_*, wordpress_test_cookie | Only set for our own staff when they log in to manage the website. Visitors are not given these. | Until logging out, or up to 14 days |
These are strictly necessary for the website to run securely, so they do not need your consent.
Remembering your postcode
When you use the “Do we cover your area?” checker, we remember the postcode you typed for the rest of your visit, so you do not have to enter it again on other pages and it can be filled in on our booking forms. This uses your browser’s session storage, not a cookie. It stays on your device, is never sent to us unless you submit a form, and is deleted automatically when you close the browser tab.
Services from other companies
- Live chat on our home page. Our chat button is provided by Elfsight. It may set its own cookies when it loads. See Elfsight’s privacy policy.
- Fonts. Our text uses fonts supplied by Google Fonts. Your browser downloads them from Google, which receives your device’s IP address to do so. No cookies are set for this.
- Links to other websites. Buttons for WhatsApp, Google reviews, Google Maps and Facebook take you to those services. Once you are on their websites, their own cookie policies apply.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Help pages for the main browsers: Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge. Blocking the necessary cookies above may stop parts of the website working properly.
Changes to this policy
If we add new tools to our website, such as visitor statistics, we will update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
