1. About us

This website is run by MH Dept South Limited, trading as Dorset Motorhomes, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 10622783. Our registered office is Unit 1a Church Farm Cottages, Church Lane, West Parley, Ferndown BH22 8TR. This is our registered office only; most of our work is carried out at our customers’ homes or storage sites.

2. Using this website

By using this website you accept these terms. The information here is for general guidance about our services. We work to keep it accurate and up to date, but we may change it at any time and cannot promise the website will always be available or free from errors.

3. Prices

Prices shown on this website are for guidance. Your price is confirmed with you before any work starts. Where a fault needs further investigation, we will explain what we have found and what it will cost to put right, and no repair is carried out without your go-ahead.

4. Booking work

A booking is confirmed when we agree a date with you. To carry out work at your home or storage site, we need safe access to the vehicle and, for most jobs, a mains electricity supply nearby. You must have permission for us to work at the site and should tell us about any known faults or previous repairs.

5. Deposits and payment

We may ask for a deposit to secure your booking date and, where parts need to be ordered for your job, to cover their cost. Parts ordered specially for you may not be returnable, so this deposit may not be refundable once they have been ordered. The balance is payable on completion of the work. If the balance is not paid within 7 days of completion, we may add a late payment charge of 20% of the outstanding balance.

6. Changing or cancelling a booking

Once a deposit has been paid, we need at least 14 days’ notice to change or cancel a booking. If you give 14 days’ notice or more, we will refund your deposit, less the cost of any parts already ordered specially for your job. If you cancel with less than 14 days’ notice, we may keep your deposit. If we are unable to carry out the job, we will refund your deposit in full. If we need to change your appointment, for example because of bad weather or illness, we will contact you as soon as possible to arrange a new date.

7. Guarantees

Our workmanship is guaranteed for 6 months from the date the work is completed. If a problem arises in that time because of the way we carried out the work, contact us and we will put it right at no extra cost. Parts we fit carry their manufacturer’s warranty. Your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.

8. Reports and paperwork

Checks, services and tests record the condition of your vehicle on the day they are carried out. They are not a guarantee against faults that develop later, or that could not be seen or tested without dismantling parts of the vehicle.

9. Buying and selling vehicles

Vehicles advertised on this website are described in good faith from the information available to us. We recommend that buyers view a vehicle before buying it. Selling a vehicle through us is covered by a separate written agreement, which sets out the return agreed with the seller, and our listing terms shown on our sell your vehicle page.

10. Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer.

11. Content and links

The text, photos and design of this website belong to us or are used with permission, and may not be copied without our consent. Links to other websites are provided for your convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

12. Your personal details

How we use the details you send us is explained in our privacy policy, and our use of cookies in our cookies policy.

13. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
