Questions owners ask

How much does it cost to fit Wi-Fi?

It depends on the system and the work your vehicle needs. Tell us your vehicle and we will give you a fixed price before any work starts.

Which system is best?

Maxview, Avtex, Motorhome WiFi and Falcon systems use the mobile network, so they suit most UK sites. Starlink uses satellites, so it works where mobile signal is weak or missing. We will recommend one based on where you travel.

Do I need my own SIM?

For 4G and 5G systems, yes. You choose the network and data plan that suits you, and we set the system up and test it with your SIM.

What about Starlink?

Starlink gives you internet by satellite, so it works in places with little or no mobile signal. It needs a Starlink plan, and we fit the dish and route the cables neatly.

4G or 5G: which should I choose?

5G is faster where there is coverage, while 4G is available in more places. We will recommend one based on where you travel.

Does it work without hook-up?

Yes. 4G and 5G routers run on 12V, so they work from your leisure battery. Starlink uses more power, so we will advise on your battery and charging.

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes. Our workmanship is guaranteed for 6 months from the date the work is completed, and parts carry their manufacturer’s warranty.

Luke has recently completed a habitation service on our motorhome - fortunately he could fit us in at short notice. He is very knowledgeable, his work is very thorough and he provides a clear explanation of the work he does and the costs. I highly recommend Luke! I asked Luke for a habitation check on my camper. He was very efficient and he explained everything he found in detail. Luke is very friendly and helpful.
